Hello there y’all! Today’s card features how to really dress up a clean and simple card using embossing folders and edgelits.
An embossing folder is a plastic sleeve that you insert your card stock into and run through the Big Shot to texturize, which will leave an impression of your choice into the card stock. An edgelit is specifically made to die-cut in beautiful edge patterns. I also use thinlits that will die-cut a decorative edge in for me too. To achieve this look:
- Trim panel to desired size after you’ve done the math.
- Die-cut your edge.
- Lay down your design.
- Run panel through the Big Shot in your embossing folder.
It really is that easy and look at the incredible dimension and texture you get! I used the Subtle Dynamics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and I’m keeping it forever, with backups for when I wear it out. This amazing folder gives you a fine quality linen look and feel. I really miss working with linen card stock. It always lends such an elegance.
You can put together any project in a minutes with a few simple steps. I hope that you enjoyed today’s tutorial. Thank you for stopping by to visit. Have a great day and God bless.
