Hello there y’all! I’m up on the ATSM Blog today for an inspiration challenge.
I used a healthy combination of the carryover First Frost Bundle and the new Needle & Thread Bundle. My designer series paper (DSP) is from All My Love with luscious colors of Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, and Soft Sea Foam. The Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam are very subtle in the DSP and I pulled the hues out in the Balmy Blue Organdy Ribbon, which is something I never use, with my sentiment on Soft Sea Foam dry embossed with a stitched framelit from Needle & Thread.
I am going to take this opportunity to share with you that I do not do Valentine’s Day, love-related anything at all, and will not have much inspiration in that department. As you can see by the inspiration picture, I stayed away from the theme sans the wooden hearts, which is more of a love you BFF thing.
This project is loaded up and I’m normally not drawn to such busyness, but I just didn’t stop. There’s 2 DSP patterns, organdy ribbon, twine, wood, dry embossing, for a lot of texture that it works. I had an idea of what I was going to do and knew I needed to really keep the balance and tone keeping the DSP with a Crumb Cake base and strong white accents. I also layered a Pearlized Doily behind the organdy ribbon.
I layered up the focal point by making a tag from the Scalloped Tag Topper from Whisper White and All My Love DSP with Silver & Petal Pink Baker’s Twine. The hearts are from Frames Elements. The flowers are from the First Frost in Lovely Lipstick. There’s some really good, but not over the top, dimension.
We hope that you join us for our challenge today. Thank you so much much for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
Love these pretty DSPs! Great color combo on your pretty card!
