Hello there! I took Bloom By Bloom in a totally different direction today using autumn colors.
I was getting a little bright color burnout and went down a different path today of regal colors that really showcases the versatility of this stamp set. I ink sponged up the flowers and green leaves in various colors and fussy cut them out. Sponging is one of many ways to bring depth and dimension to images. One flower is stamped directly onto the DSP. The Soft Suede and copper foil leaves are from Wonderful Floral Framelits. Craft ink was applied to the Textured Soft Suede CS leaves around the edges. You can get the same embossing the Subtles folder onto CS.
The swirl on the left and bottom of the DSP is from Beauty Abounds (that I forgot to include in the Supplies, but linked for easy reference). The sentiment from Butterfly Gala was heat embossed onto Cajun Craze CS with white embossing powder. After I adhered the sentiment strip to the image panel, I used the Take Your Pick tool and pierced some holes through the CS to weave the Old Olive Baker’s Twine through. The scallop die from Be Mine Framelits was used to add a decorative edge to the image panel. The polka dot DSP from Tropical Escape really pulls the design together. The leaf dies have the veins etched into them.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit. Have a great day and God bless.
