Band Together Bundle + Watercolor Pencils

Hello there! I’m featuring Band Together this week and hope that you join me. Here is today’s project with color pencil layering only.

I took the pictures without attaching the image panel to a Basic Gray card base, but got one in for you above, and below is a picture of the Band Together Bundle.

There’s some beautiful die-cuts in this bundle that I can definitely see myself using for the holidays and any other time of year, with some fantastic detailed stand-alone die-cuts for accents, which you will see later this week. You can find this bundle in the Annual Catalog on page 121.

It’s extremely difficult to articulate how I filled in the image with colored pencils, except for that I used a very light hand and kept building upon the color going from light to dark and back down without wax buildup. It’s all in the hand and rotation that you color in circular to a stroke, i.e., the intensity that you lay down the color with. Keeping a light hand helps you build. If you want to see a video on this, please leave a comment. It’s much easier than you think, but time consuming. This took about 2 hours using every single green, pink and red that we have with no chems. This is pure pencil.

I left the image in the Stamparatus to re-define and darken the line art image after coloring. It’s also how I got the 2nd line of image along the far left, since I accidentally left the foam mat in when I attempted to re-stamp, but it worked out in an odd way, so I went with it. I was not about to re-do the image panel after the work I had put into it.

Seaside Spray Subtles 6 x 6 DSP was used to further accent the card with Linen Thread with Clear Epoxy Droplets. I chose not to have a sentiment on the front letting the image command the attention it deserves.

Thank you for stopping by today for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
