Hello there y’all! I’m back with more Stampin’ Blends coloring today and broke out the Butterfly Gala Bundle (OC). My featured colors are Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink, and absolutely love this color combination together. I used the coordinating Botanical Butterfly DSP (SAB) in 3 patterns.
I’m hooked on attaching small images onto twine for a fun accent. I let the DSP do a lot of work for me mixing up the patterns making a striking background The colors definitely make a statement on their own, so it was important to keep the rest neutral. I didn’t want a butterfly overload and had to ground the large butterfly with some color, so I chose a Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet (SAB), punched it out with the Butterfly Duet punch, and adhered to the card front. The card front itself is an A2 size Basic Black panel that I adhered the DSP to, loaded it up, and then adhered it to the card base. I stumbled upon a great hack to line it all up that I shared in a video.
I wanted to tone down the stark white a little bit on the stripped DSP, which I cut on the vertical, as this is a diagonal pattern, so I heat embossed a white sentiment onto Basic Black, and stapled it to the panel. Basic Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the left side 3x and into a large bow. I adhered back-to-back butterflies with Tombow at the ends of the twine.
