Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a card created with two bundles of Celebrate With Tags and Decorated With Happiness, both of which are in the Holiday Catalog.
I incorporated in 3 different designer series paper and made my own for the image panel. I do this a lot when I have a concept that is not a hard product. I hunt my stash for an image that will work and wing it from there.
I am getting so much mileage out of my DSP, especially Gingham Cottage DSP and Black + White Designs. I love the optics mixing our different patterns for a sassy flare.
I’m experimenting trying to figure out what my personal Christmas Card designs are going to be this year. Celebrate With Tags will definitely be used as part of my personal tags.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with an A2 Basic White Thick card base and layered on a piece of Cottage Gingham Designer Series Paper with liquid adhesive.
I put this together differently, as I do all of my projects. When I’m working with large images, I have a tendency to go with small sentiments. I don’t like multifocal points and think they’re too busy and overwhelming. Your eye should be able to settle on the focal point that allows you to take in all of the details.
You will see another example of this next Thursday.
On the flip side, sometimes the accent color gets the eye first and then you take in the rest. My black, white, and gray room gets a lot of sunlight and I knew I could go with a small black wall, which is something I’ve been wanting to do, so I went for it and love how it turned out. My bright teal accent color was inspired by an eye cream jar lid. I tossed this on my bed a few weeks after I painted the black wall and the moment I was waiting for to complete the room.
My son sent me the dachshund stuffed animal and, of course, it’s displayed.
The wall was 100% hand-painted and I cut a mean line.
After looking at the above photo rather than standing outside of the room, I’m going to move the left and right pictures for more balance against the far left pampas grass in the silver vase.
I stamped the large mitten x2 image from Celebrate With Tags onto Basic White Regular CS in Real Red, low heat set it real quick, because red is a fussy smear color, and then cut from its coordinating Celebration Tag Dies.
I cut my image panel to 3 x 4 from Basic White Regular CS. I inked up the dotted line image from Celebrate With Tags in Smoky Slate that I stamped off x3 and stamped it onto the image panel to subtly break up the stark white.
My sentiment is from Decorated With Happiness that was stamped at the bottom right of the panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I winged cutting the horizontal DSP strips to size after the image panel. I adhered them under the image panel with a combination of liquid adhesive and staples.
I pulled a length of Gray Granite Baker’s Twine Essential Pack, folded it in half, and tied a knot at the bottom, then adhered the ends under the mittens with Scotch Tape.
Two medium Rhinestone Basic Jewels were adhered to the center of the snowflake on the mittens.
For final assembly, the image panel was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The mittens were adhered to the image panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
