Hello there y’all! I’m up today at SUOChallenges for our birthday theme. We would love to have you join us.
Life is Grand is a fabulous new 5-sentiment set that is grand. I love the size and bold statement that each sentiment makes. This is a very clean and simple card that’s technique heavy. The Basic Black cardstock was dry embossed using the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This product is a must have. It embosses the look and feel of beautiful 100 lb linen cardstock that’s a serious game changer and completely changes everything up. I used the Decorative Ribbon punch for the Flirty Flamingo border, die-cutting the Lovely Lipstick butterfly, White Craft Ink for my Post Script background, and then I dipped the edges of butterfly into Versamark followed by gold embossing powder and heated it up for some die-cut dipping. I looped Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon behind the butterfly with 2 large clear epoxy dots from Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.
There’s a lot going on, yet it presents itself as simple. This is one that I’d like to play with the sketch, elements, and colors more. I’m happy with how detailed my butterfly turned out and is the focal point, even though in scale, it should be a tad bigger, but it worked and I’m going with it. You can see the embossing in the Basic Black and the white craft on the Lovely Lipstick. The sentiment is fully embossed. The image is texturized, which is not ideal for heat embossing, but again, I went with it.
Thank you so very much for stopping by today to visit me. I’m currently working on a few videos for you. Have a great day and God bless.
Beautiful card! I love the big sentiment too!
