Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a sneak peek into the amazing Storybook Gnomes Suite Collection with a Concept Art card that I tweaked just a little bit to take out of the holiday zone.
This suite is not just for Christmas. Today’s project is a friendship card. Gnomes are popular everywhere and this suite collection covers all seasons.
This is a large suite collection with 6 products of the cling mount Kindest Gnomes stamp set, Gnomes Dies + standalone cuts, Balmy Blue & White Double-Stitched Ribbon, Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems, Snowfall Accents Puff Paint, and Storybook Gnomes 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.
You can find this suite collection and this Concept Art card on page 42 of the 2022 Holiday Catalog.
I love the line art, which is great for coloring in any of our mediums. The standalone dies are outstanding, as the pliable ribbon and coordinating Fine Sparkle Gems that have a criss-cross pattern on them, exactly like our Elegant Faceted Gems, which is a favorite of mine, along with this suite collection.
You can cut images from the designer series paper, as with all of our suite collections and/or bundles.
I have to admit that this is my favorite Holiday Catalog and I’ve been around for awhile.
The Storybook Gnomes Suite Collection features the below colors that I love:
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with a top-folding A2 card base in Crumb Cake CS. I cut the Storybook Gnomes DSP to 4 x 5-1/4 that I embossed with the largest Stitched With Whimsy Die and adhered to the card base with Seal.
The sentiment panel was cut from the largest circle Stylish Shapes Die. The sentiment was stamped at the top center in Early Espresso and adhered to the card base with liquid adhesive.
I stamped 3 of the gnomes onto Basic White CS in Balmy Blue and left the images on the door of my Stamparatus. You know this drill with me because I like my crisp images. I colored in all of the gnome hats with the Light Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blend Marker and then re-stamped the images in Balmy Blue. The gnomes were cut from their coordinating Gnome Dies.
The gnomes were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown above for some fantastic textural dimension.
Six small Pale Papaya Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems were adhered to the gnomes to emulate ‘eyes.’
For the inside of the card, the image/sentiment panel is cut to and with the below Instructions.
The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink.
I die-cut the standalone beard, hat, and nose die from Basic White Regular CS, Storybook Gnomes DSP, and Petal Pink CS.
I used a Sponge Dauber with Smoky Slate ink to dirty up the gnome beard a little bit for the texture and to differentiate the white. The hat and nose were adhered with liquid adhesive with the gnome beard and hat adhered to the inside with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The entire panel was adhered with Seal Adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
