Celebrate Sunflowers Window Card

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a window card created with Celebrate Sunflowers from the Flowers for Every Season Suite Collection.

I thought I would do something a little different for today’s project and make a recessed window card. It was very simple to do and the instructions are below, along with your shopping list.

The card base is a side-folding A5, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. I chose a side fold as this card is top heavy and wanted the stability of a side fold. The sunflower line art images were stamped in Saddleback Stazon ink. The center was colored with the Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend. The sunflowers were colored in with Daffodil Delight Blends and the leaves were colored in with the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. I same color shaded up the center of the sunflower and bottom of the leaves.

The large image panel was cut to 4 x 5-1/4. I used the largest Stitched Shapes Rectangle die to cut a square an inch down from the top and about 11/16th of an inch on each side. I then stamped the large leaf around this frame with Old Olive ink that was stamped off once.

I layered the frame on top of the card base and made tic marks around the corners so I would know where to stamp the inlaid sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and leaves on the card base; again, stamping off the Old Olive ink.

I then cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to 3-3/4 x 5 and centered it up the second largest Stitched Shapes Rectangle die. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and centered it around the stamped in leaves. For the sunflower in the upper left corner, I added a Stampin’ Dimensional around the bottom of the leaves and Tombo Mono Glue towards the center and adhered it to the Crumb Cake frame.

Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the Whisper White image panel and adhered on top of the Crumb Cake cardstock. Two sunflowers were adhered to the bottom right corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
