Heartwarming Hugs + Press On & Paper Piecing Technique

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a project created with the Heartwarming Hugs Suite Collection and Press On stamp set. I also used a technique on this card that I haven’t done in years. Press On is perfect for paper piecing and pairing up with this suite collection.

As always, your product list is below. I started out with a top-folding A2 Real Red card base and layered on a piece of Heartwarming Hugs DSP that was die-cut with the largest frame from Stitched Rectangles. The Regular Whisper White CS panel was die-cut with the 4th from the largest Stitched Rectangles die-cut. The Pear Pizzazz sentiment panel was die-cut with the smallest nested Stitched Rectangle die and used horizontally, with the sentiment stamped over to the far right in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Another sentiment was stamped at the top right of the Regular Whisper White image panel in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I stamped both coffee cups from Press On onto Thick Whisper White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in the small coffee cup with Real Red Stampin’ Blends, then fussy cut. I fussy cut the large coffee cup, where I only colored the lid with a Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend and colored out with the Color Lifter. I stamped the small coffee cup again with Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Heartwarming Hugs DSP, fussy cut, and adhered to the center of the small mug with Seal. A small heart was punched out with the Dog Builder Punch from a Silver Foil Sheet with a Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensional.

I tied the top of the image panel up into a bow with Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim, which is from the Spring 2021 Catalog as part of the Dandy Garden Suite Collection, which is available to you on January 5, 2021. After the bow was tied, I tied a Glitter Star Ornament around the knot of the bow.

This card is mainly flat for easy mailing, but there’s still a lot of texture and dimension to it. It’s a fun card to send to one of your wine-loving friends, and I know exactly who I have in mind!

I’m really kicking around going to Facebook Live at my Cindy B Designs FB Page. I’ve been researching and I’m able to share so much more with you that way rather than my time taken up with filming, editing, voiceovers, etc. I will continue to do videos like this for the short interim, but even with FB Live videos, I can upload them to You Tube. You can always watch the videos on Facebook at a later time, as well. Please let me know your thoughts and feedback.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.

  1. Really cute card! I love the papers. Paper piecing is something I don’t do often, but it’s such a fun look.
As far as FB live, I would most likely have to catch the replays on YouTube. I do like the convenience of watching whenever it fits into my schedule, even if I am having an issue with commenting on YouTube. Wish I could figure out how to fix that problem!
