SUOC 274: Animal Kingdom

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges 274, where we are having an Animal Kingdom theme, and hope that you join us.

For my project today, I am using the Whale Done Suite Collection for a fun juvenile birthday card.

The stamp set, punch, and ribbon are carrying over. However, the designer series paper, embossing folder, and sequins are not. There’s only a few more days available to pick the retiring items up.

As always, your Supplies and Instructions are below to recreate this card.

I started out with an A2 top-folding landscape 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 Pacific Point card base. I cut a piece of Whale Done DSP to 3 x 4 to adhere to the front of the Pacific Point card base with Seal where I knew the shaker portion of the card was going to be. A piece of Regular Basic White CS was cut to 4 x 5-1/4, as was the top Whale Done DSP. I lined the Basic White and DSP up together and then positioned a 2-5/8 Layering Circle Die towards the right center and ran this through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I then cut a piece of 3 x 3 Window Sheet and taped it to the back of the Whale Done Designer Series Paper. I then adhered the Basic White and DSP card fronts together so the Window Sheet is in between.

I laid down a healthy portion of Whale of a Time Sequins on the DSP, added Foam Strips around the circle on the back of the front panel to keep the shaker sequins in the frame, and on the back of the rest of the DSP panel to adhere to the Pacific Point card base.

I then punched out a Blackberry Bliss whale from the DSP and Regular Basic White CS with the Whale Punch and adhered both together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and adhered the whale to the front of the image panel with the same adhesive as above. The water spout droplets were punched from DSP and adhered to the Window Sheet with Mini Glue Dots.

The sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral, as was a little seahorse that was fussy cut out. The sentiment was die-cut with a stitched frame from Hippo & Friends Dies. I cut a length of the suite’s Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and stapled it to the top of the sentiment panel, which was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please join us at SUOChallenges.com. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
