Hand-Penned, Basic Borders Dies + Christmas Inspiration

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for another project created with Hand-Penned and Peaceful Moments.

The right curve was cut with our new Basic Borders Dies. If you have your catalog, these fantastic tools are on page 162 and an absolute must-have item. There are a lot of stencils I can cut from these dies. I have a VIDEO on how to cut your own stencils with dies.

Lastly, somehow these colors just came together today, since I’m sitting here right now looking outside while it’s snowing, which is just wrong, on April 20. So, here’s some very premature Christmas inspiration … not to mention the versatility of the Hand-Penned Suite Collection.

I started out with an A2 left side-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Basic White Thick card base. I cut in the stitched curve die from Basic Borders at the far right side of the card base. I then cut a piece of 1 x 5-1/2 Merry Merlot CS and adhered it to the inside of the card base on the right, so the curve would have a place to land.

I stamped 3 different line art images around the right curve in Memento Tuxedo Black from Hand-Penned. I filled in the line art with Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive for the leaves with Merry Merlot and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers, both of which were stamped in full and off x1. I used our Clear Blocks to lay down the solid images of this DisINKtive stamp set.

I cut a piece of Basic Black CS to 4 x 3/4″, white heat embossed the sentiment from Peaceful Moments, snipped the ends, then adhered this to the card base with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The right curve, multi-colored images, and heat embossing make this a very easy and attractive card. For Christmas, I would obviously change the sentiment, incorporate gold embellishments, and maybe a gold thread next with a little shimmer.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
