Pretty Pumpkins Bundle + 2 Cards

Hello there! First and foremost, a very Happy 23rd Birthday to my Little Princess. I love you …

… and thank you for joining me today for two projects created with one of my favorite bundles of Pretty Pumpkins.

Both of the distinctly different cards I created were from our Annual Catalog products, sans the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle. This is how perfectly Stampin’ Up! makes it all work together and takes all of this into consideration with their designs for a great papercrafting experience.

I used the new Pretty Pumpkins Bundle in the Holiday Catalog with Lovely You stamp set and Stitched Leaves Dies, accented with Annual Catalog designer series paper and twine.

I think it’s fantastic that we now have 2 Sale-A-Bration events annually coinciding with the release of our seasonal brochures, both of which last at least 5 months. This Sale-A-Bration lasts until September 30 and has some great FREE products for you! I will be having several giveaways of the Counting Sheep stamp set and coordinating Sheep Dies. Be sure to visit this blog daily and sign up for my newsletter.

These projects are to showcase to you, again, of our perfectly coordinated products and colors, and how to use products from different publications. I mixed my neutrals up and used non-traditional colors for the card on the right.

Both cards are designed exactly alike with the same measurements. I just used different colors and designer series paper + creating my own. Anytime you have a busy background or DSP, I do have a tendency to use  Vellum CS to tone it all down a bit.

The card on the left has a Cinnamon Cider card base with the card on the right having a Crumb Cake card base. As I describe how I assemble this project, it will always be from the left to the right card.

As always, your Supplies and Instructions are below.

I started out with an A2 card base and layered on a piece of the Beauty of the Earth DSP and a hand-stamped/designed paper using Pale Papaya, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso, using a little sprig from Lovely You, at the top of the card bases. On the lower card bases, a piece of Expressions in Ink and Neutrals 6 x 6 DSP were used to ground the sentiment stamped in Early Espresso ink from Pretty Pumpkins.

The die-cut accents were cut from Vellum CS using the large detailed pumpkin from the Pumpkin Dies and 2 sizes of leaves from Stitched Leaves Dies. The Vellum was tucked under the Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine that was wrapped around the card x3 and bowed at the right. Gilded Gems were also used to help secure the Vellum to the card base.

The pumpkins from Pretty Pumpkins were stamped lightly with Smoky Slate ink onto a piece of Basic White Thick CS, colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers in Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaroon, and Pale Papaya; with Pale Papaya, Balmy Blue, and Crumb Cake. The leaves were colored with Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends on both cards and Cinnamon Cider for the pumpkin stems. After reinking and stamping the images again with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, they were cut from their coordinating Pumpkins Die and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used a lot of colors that are not in the designer series paper or brought in elsewhere, but it all complimented each other nicely.

Don’t forget that today is the last day to sign up for the August Hope Box Paper Pumpkin!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
