Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge 38, #MTCC38, where we are having a color challenge to use Mossy Meadow and hope that you join us!
I combined the color challenge with our fabulously autumnal Nature’s Harvest Bundle using an abundance of our staple products to showcase how versatile this bundle is and one to definitely have in your art space.
Don’t be surprised when this year-round bundle carries over to the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
Information on our 1-day ONLY, TODAY, biggest stamp sale of the year, is below.
I have received over 100 cards from my friends full of Get Well wishes for my broken leg, that I’m so grateful for and there’s a lot of Thank You cards that I’m creating to send back. I’m pretty sure my cast is coming off on November 15 and I am so very excited!
I do have 6 weeks of physical therapy 2x a week after that and will be sporting a walking boot; but, the keyword is “walking boot!” Again, the moral of the story is to make that 2nd trip when carrying in items to your home.
I will be including some throwback posts and videos in every now and then. I overdid it a little last week and have definitely been paying for it over the past few days. I’m 58, but 40 in my head, and have to respect the fact that I’m 58 and have boundaries.
As always, your Supplies and Instructions, with measurements, are below.
This is a detailed card, but not difficult at all to recreate. This Concept Art project is on page 71 of the Holiday Catalog, that I tweaked for today’s challenge. I used my Stampin’ Blends to color in the line art images and stand-alone die.
I started out with a top-folding A2 Mossy Meadow card base and layered on a piece of Neutrals 6 x 6 DSP in the plaid pattern, also in Mossy Meadow and cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die, adhered with Seal.
I die-cut two of the stand-alone branch dies from Soft Suede CS that were adhered to the right side of the card with our liquid adhesive and one lavender branch from our Fluid Watercolor Paper. The lavender branch was colored in with an Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Write Marker with the top in Rich Razzleberry Dark Stampin’ Write Marker, that was also adhered with liquid adhesive.
I then cut a length of Granite Gray from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack to wrap around the card base twice and bowed at the right side of the card, as shown.
I stamped the line art coneflower image onto Basic White Thick CS in Crumb Cake and colored in with our Stampin’ Blends Markers. The cone was colored using Soft Suede markers, the petals in Mango Melody, with the stems and leaves in Light Old Olive. The image was adhered to the card base with Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I then cut a length of Gold Shimmer Ribbon and frayed the ends, as shown below. I adhered the ribbon with a small piece of Tear & Tape across the back. The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso and cut with a frame die from Harvest Dies. I adhered the sentiment panel to the card front with Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
There’s just a lot of busy work in this card, but you will get a fabulous result.
