Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge 50, where the theme is to use an embossing folder, and hope that you join us!
There is a lot going on with this project of ink blending with a mask, watercolor pencil, 2-step stamping, die-cutting, etc. I used the embossing folder on the Pool Party CS panel behind the image.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with an A2 top-folding Highland Heather card base and secured it to a piece of our Floral Grid Paper with purple painter’s tape. I adhered one of the patterned masks from Basic Pattern Decorative Masks with tape and had everything secured down. I inked up a Blending Brush with Highland Heather and blended this over the mask until I achieved the what I was looking for.
I cut a piece of Pool Party CS to 4-1/4 x 1 and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the stitched scalloped die from Penned Flowers Dies at the bottom. I then ran it back through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder. I adhered this to the card front with liquid adhesive and tied a piece of our beautiful Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon from Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack that I bowed at the right.
The jar image and punch is from Jar of Flowers. I colored the outside only of the jar stamp with a Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Marker and colored it in with a Coastal Cabana Watercolor Pencil then blended it out with a Blender Pen. I then punched the jar out and added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.
The 2-step leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz for the solid image and Old Olive for the line art, then cut from their coordinating dies. The hydrangea was stamped in Highland Heather for the solid image and Gorgeous Grape for the line art, then cut with its coordinating die.
I stamped the sentiment tag onto Basic White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black and cut it from the stand-alone tag die in Hydrangea.
After my images were die-cut, I arranged them to my presentation and then figured out which Stitched Rectangle Dies I wanted to cut my mats from to frame the image.
The Basic Gray mat was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals with the Basic White Regular mat adhered to the gray mat with Seal. The images were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a piece of Basic Black Twine through the tag on the left and adhered the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Five Fresh Freesia 2021-2023 In Color Jewels were adhered to the hydrangea for a little bling to complete the card front.
For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White Regular CS with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die and stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black. I had some leftover images from this project and adhered them to the bottom right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!

BEAUTIFUL card Cindy! Love your choice of color and design! GREAT JOB!
This is beautiful, Cindy. The Jar of Flowers and Hydrangea sets have been way underutilized by me! Thank you for your inspiration. I responded to your comment on my blog for the SUO challenge but don’t know if you saw it. Have a blessed day!
