Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for another project featuring 3 cards for all skill levels, from beginner to avid, with an introduction to the new Wisteria Wishes Bundle and Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper, available to you on May 3. I also used the new In Color Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Write Marker.
Perfectly Penciled DSP is my new black and white go-to staple. You have great geometrics on one side with line art on the other that you can use any coloring medium with.
This is such a wonderful addition to our new product line and one I haven’t seen before as far as the wisterias go. A lot of this bundle’s images and die-cuts are featured in today’s projects. There are 10 photopolymer stamps with die-cuts that will cut every image + standalone dies with 2-step stamping, and our exclusive DistINKtive images.
I’m also a huge fan of mixed fonts with sentiments.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements for all 3 cards, which are the same, are below. I will narrate how each card was created for you.
Above is all 3 of our cards for all skill levels. Some just take more time and patience than others, but I do encourage you to give it a try. Todays colors are Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray. I love creating the unexpected with non-traditional colors.
Our first card took minutes to make. I cut all of the elements of the projects from the Smoky Slate card bases, the Basic White Regular image panels, and Pear Pizzazz scalloped edge from Penned Flowers Dies x3.
For this card, I stamped the sentiment at the bottom right first and then lined up my images onto the image panel. The branch/leaves were stamped first in Pear Pizzazz ink that allowed me to perfectly line up the 3-image, 2-step stamping image. Smoky Slate was used to put down the solid wisteria image with Basic Gray for the definition image.
The scallop edge was cut from Penned Flowers Dies with Pear Pizzazz CS. Tear & Tape was adhered to the very left edge of the image panel that I adhered up against the stitched line from the scallop die.
Stampin’ Dimensionals were adhered to the back of the entire image panel and then adhered to the card base at the far right side using the L-corner of my Stamparatus to achieve perfect alignment, that I did with all 3 of our projects.
For our second card, all of the measurements are the same as the first card.
I adhered a piece of Perfectly Penciled DSP to the far left of the card base with liquid adhesive.
The sentiment was stamped at the right of the image panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I used the other leaf and stem image in the Wisteria Wishes Bundle … that you want to pack away to use as an autumn/fall image … because I’m seeing the perfect cornstalks here … that was stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink onto the card base.
The florals were stamped in Smoky Slate and Basic Gray.
I embossed a leaf standalone die into the image panel at the top right corner and added 3 Basic Black Classic Matte Dots where the stems and florals meet.
I took my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and splattered ink around the image panel using the cap of the marker to flick the color on.
The image panel was adhered to the scallop edge die as described above with Tear & Tape and the image panel adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
This one is my favorite. I used a really old school technique of saturating my Black & White Gingham Ribbon with water, wadding it up in my hands like a little ball, and then heat drying it to get the crinkle look.
After all of the images were placed, the ribbon was adhered to a branch with a Mini Glue Dot, but we won’t get to that until the assembly process. I’m just letting you know now before I forget, since I’m old.
First, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black at the bottom right of the image panel.
Second, there’s 2 standalone wisteria dies that I used for this card in Smoky Slate and Basic Gray + the branch and leaf standalone die that was cut from Pear Pizzazz, all of which were the focus of this project.
With ALL of the above standalone images, I used a Sponge Dauber and the coordinating ink color to add dimension around the edges.
I adhered the die-cut wisteria Basic Gray CS to the Smoky Slate CS with liquid adhesive.
I built up the card base with the Perfectly Penciled DSP, stitched scalloped edge, and image panel.
Before the standalone dies were adhered to the image panel, I used our new In Color Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Write Marker to flick on ink using the cap.
I adhered the full wisteria dies with Stampin’ Dimensionals first to stagger them and then used the die-cut Pear Pizzazz greenery to selectively Paper Snip the leaves to make it all work, that were adhered with a combination of liquid adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals so everything flowed.
You can see the amazing dimension and texture above. Five sequins from a recent Paper Pumpkin Kit in the usual wisteria colors were scattered about the image panel. The sequins and Orchid Oasis ink splatter tie in together nicely + the crinkled Buffalo Check ribbon for even more dimension.
I hope you enjoyed today’s projects and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
