Let’s Set Sail Simple Stamping

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a simple stamping project created with the Let’s Set Sail Bundle.

I’m pretty hooked on this bundle right now because summer is finally here and it’s boating season again! This is a great masculine card for kids and adults. Change the colors to make it more feminine.

I brought in our new Orchid Oasis Baker’s Twine that coordinates with Night of Navy very well.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 top-folding Balmy Blue card base. I cut an image mat and an image panel from Balmy Blue and Basic White CS with the measurements below. Nothing was adhered down until the final assembly process.

I started stamping at the very bottom and top of the image panel with the sentiments in Night of Navy ink to work my way towards the middle to balance the water image and sailboat.

I stamped the water image above the bottom sentiment in Balmy Blue.

If everything goes right, I will have included how to perfectly punch multiple images out in different colors from the same punch + the vellum Stampin’ Blends video tutorial that was featured on Thursday OR make a separate video due to the vastly different techniques, which is what most likely will happen.

As of this writing, the vellum video will be up now with the punching video hopefully up with and included in this post or definitely by Sunday or Monday.

I stamped the underside of the boat|vessel in Night of Navy ink with the sails in Balmy Blue that were punched out.

I laid the sailboat image back onto the image panel and inked up the vessel and mast only with Balmy Blue ink and stamped the image panel.

For final assembly, I adhered the image panel to the Balmy Blue mat with Seal. I wrapped the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the left side of the image panel and mat, turned the panels over to place the Orchid Oasis Baker’s Twine directly down the center on the back and used Scotch Tape to secure the ribbon and twine to the back. I then flipped the panels around and tied both into a knot at the upper left.

The vessel and sails were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Sun Prints DSP was used on the flap of the envelope. My envelope panels are always 6 x 2-3/8 to minimize the DSP scraps.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
