Color Theory: Double Slider Pocket Fun Fold, #GDP343 + Cheerful Basket Bundle

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a double slider pocket fun fold card created with the Cheerful Basket Bundle and Global Design Project 343, #GDP343 with a fun theme. This project was a challenge winner!

This bundle has fabulous line art images that are perfect for any of our coloring mediums. The basket is extremely versatile and can easily be used with our other coordinating products. These are larges images, which are great. There are some very fun standalone die-cuts included in this bundle, as shown below.

My color combination today is mainly Petal Pink, Mango Melody, Fresh Freesia, and Crumb Cake for today’s color theory.

I have been experimenting with fun folds lately using various resources of You Tube and a book, ‘Folding Ideas For Cards & Envelopes.’

This card was inspired by Lisa Curcio and I wanted to give her a shout out.

Obviously, the directions are going to be way too lengthy and detailed without the video visual. This is an A2 card that will fit into one of or Medium Envelopes and it’s really not hard at all. I think fun folds are intimidating to a lot of people but don’t let that stop you from trying.

The photos really don’t do this project justice. I’ve come to loathe this new photo editing software. It doesn’t work in realtime, which is horrible. So, back to the drawing board.

Anyhow, the Crumb Cake CS is folded just like an A2. For this project, we simply flip the card where the open side is at the top.

I used Timeless Tiles that was stamped off several times on the card front.

The images were colored in with Stampin’ Blends for the basket using our Neutrals Collection of 200 and 300. I used Stampin’ Write Markers for the craft supplies in Petal Pink, Mango Melody, Fresh Freesia, and Crumb Cake.

When you pull the tab up, 2 slides are revealed!

I brought in Texture Chic products of the DSP and Memories & More.

I was really pleased with how this turned out with this great color combination. There’s a ton of texture and dimension with the various patterns and color.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
