Color Theory with Artfully Composed Suite Collection

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a color theory project created with the Artfully Composed Suite Collection. I love the mix of these colors, two of which are retiring in a few short months of Just Jade and Fresh Freesia.

The Abstract Beauty Suite Collection in the Spring Catalog has the same colors as below. Again, it’s that perfect coordination.

This is a very simple project to recreate with this fabulous suite collection and one that you will be seeing a lot more of. I still have a few more suites to introduce to you before the new Annual Catalog is released on May 3, 2022.

As you know, I’m a huge fan of print and script on solid card stock and in designer series paper … but, taking it to vellum level is a game changer and this suite collection makes it a reality.

And for a heads up, I am going to hoard the print vellum no matter what. This is a staple product to me and one you can easily recreate with any current publication. Very Versailles has a script print that you could heat emboss onto vellum paper.

The key for adhering vellum to card stock is using our Adhesive Sheets.

Just Jade and Fresh Freesia are 2 In Colors that will be retiring in a few short months and these are In Colors that I’m really going to miss. However, you can be assured that the new 2022-2024 In Colors will be just as amazing.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I’m crazy in love with the Artfully Composed Suite Collection and especially with the Vellum Layering Designs and Faux Sea Glass.

The suite colors are fantastic! There’s 6 colors amongst 2 color families and again, it’s that perfect product coordination thing. I brought in Fresh Freesia for interest.

There are a lot of stand-alone dies in this suite collection and I embossed one of them into my image/sentiment panel.

I started out with an A2 top-folding Basic White Thick card base. I cut the black script print from Layering Vellum Designs that is included in the Artfully Composed Suite Collection with one of our Adhesive Sheets to 6 x 6.

To evenly adhere the very sticky Adhesive Sheet to the vellum CS, I used the L corner of our Stamparatus to make sure I had it lined up correctly with the least amount of grief. I pulled back about 1-1/2″ of the liner to secure the vellum to the card base, which made the rest of this process easy once I had the initial placement down. Clear as mud?

I cut the image/sentiment panel from Basic White CS with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I embossed the cross pattern the suite’s Tropical Layer Dies onto the image panel x3. I loaded up a Blending Brush with Pale Papaya ink and from the center out, I blended the ink out from the brush. This was repeated a few times until I achieved the color I desired.

The sentiment was stamped at the top right in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I stamped the large leafy image on the left with Fresh Freesia ink that was cut with its coordinating die.

I stamped the outline of the large leaf image directly onto the suite’s coordinating Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper with Just Jade ink twice and this is how you manipulate colors. The image was cut from its coordinating die.

Many of our die-cuts and punches perfectly coordinate with our designer series paper.

These stamps are our cling-mount and I strongly suggest using a Window Sheet or vellum to line the image up BEFORE you stamp it on the DSP.

For final assembly, the leaves were adhered to the image panel with Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used a little bit of liquid adhesive to adhere the leaves and stems together where they overlapped. A length of Linen Thread was tied around the stems and bowed.

Three White Faux Sea Glass Shapes were random selectively placed to further embellish.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
