Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for our first 2023 Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #317, where our theme is Designer’s Choice. This basically means that you create and share whatever you’re in the mood for with Stampin’ Up! products.
I made a slimline card created from the Country Bouquet stamp set, that is a part of the Country Floral Lane Suite Collection on pages 8-11 of the Spring Catalog, Item 160390. This is a very large suite collection with a tremendous amount of versatility and one you will want on board, which is available to you in a few days on January 5, 2023.
I made this as a Valentine’s Day card. A simple inside sentiment change could take this card in any direction that would fit your occasion.
There is a ton of texture and dimension on this project of the embossing folder, iridescent embellishments, ombre glimmer paper, and DistINKtive images + a lot of Stampin’ Dimensionals without the bulk.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
Since this is a slimline card, my measurements are way different than usual and under the Instructions below.
My card is a top-fold Basic White Thick CS. Due to the length of the embossed mat, you will have to run that through the embossing folder twice for full coverage. This panel was adhered to the card base with Seal Adhesive.
I cut the Sweet Sorbet Glimmer Paper to size and center adhered that over the embossed panel with Tear & Tape. I chose this adhesive because the backing on the Glimmer Paper warranted that by its texture.
I cut the image mat to size and adhered that over the Glimmer Paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut the image panel to size and from left to right, used the following colors to stamp out the heart from the Country Bouquet stamp set:
- Melon Mambo
- Poppy Parade
- Sweet Sorbet
- Polished Pink
- Real Red
The image panel was adhered to the mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For final assembly, the sentiment was stamped onto Basic White Regular CS with Sweet Sorbet ink and cut from the smallest Stitched Rectangle Die. I added a tiny bit of Seal Adhesive to the back of the die-cut sentiment and weaved my Sweet Sorbet Metallic Ribbon into a bow then added a Stampin’ Dimensional to further secure the bow to the sentiment. Two more Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the sentiment panel that was adhered atop of the image panel.
Both sizes of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels were scattered about to embellish.
For the inside, the sentiment was stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink.
Using the Country Bouquet Punch, two hearts were punched out from Sweet Sorbet Glimmer Paper and adhered to the inside with Tear & Tape.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!

Absolutely gorgeous!! Love all the layers and texture!!
I love the mix of pinks and reds for the hearts, a fun way to add interest while only using one stamp. I hadn’t planned to get this stamp set but somehow it jumped on my last order anyway 😉
