Crafting With You Bundle | Slimline Card

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a really fun slimline card created from the fabulous Crafting With You Bundle with a sentiment from Bold Bouquet stamp set.

This card is all die-cutting except for the sentiment. The scissors die-cut from Crafting With You Dies is a standalone die with slight indentations were you cut the die in order to add colored handles and the cut that mimics the pivot, which is that teeny tiny little Gray Granite dot.

The colors used today are Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Gray Granite.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I cut my card base, mat, and image panel to the sizes in the Instructions from Basic White Thick for the card base, Gray Granite for the mat, and Basic White Regular CS for the image panel.

I adhered the Gray Granite mat to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then went about die-cutting my scissors from Crafting With You Dies.

The scissors were die-cut x12; 6 from Gray Granite CS … BE SURE TO SET ASIDE THE PIVOT to inlay and 6 from the following colors:

  1. Poppy Parade.
  2. Pumpkin Pie.
  3. Lemon Lolly.
  4. Lemon Lime Twist.
  5. Balmy Blue.
  6. Highland Heather.

This is what the scissors die-cut from Crafting With You Dies looks like and you will have to piece it together by matching up the tips of the blade adhering with liquid adhesive.

Especially notice the 2 lines on each blade of the cut … this is where you cut your colored card stock for the scissors handle and glue the handles atop of the Gray Granite scissor handles to get a perfect fit. Liquid adhesive was also used to inlay the pivot.

I stamped my sentiment from Bold Bouquet onto Basic White Regular CS with Memento Tuxedo Black and winged cutting it to size.

For final assembly, I glued the scissors to the image panel with liquid adhesive and again, you wing your placement so it all evens out aesthetically. What I did this time was use low tack tape at 2 of the corners of the image panel to my work space mat and used those lines for an assist.

I added a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional at each end of the sentiment panel and centered that. I snuck in 3 more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals under the parts of the sentiment that did not lay over the scissors to keep dimension.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the image panel and adhered it to the card base.

To embellish, 6 large Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels were colored in with the dark Stampin’ Blends matching the colors above that were then scattered as shown.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
