Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a framed sentiment with Cup of Christmas.
One way to really collage a clean and simple card is to frame your sentiment. This Silver Foil Sheet frame was created with Layering Squares die-cuts by cutting the scallop square first and then inserting another square die-cut into the center of that to die-cut again, leaving you with a frame. This is a really pretty card and I wish I could have achieved better color in the pictures after numerous attempts and editing.
I started out with a Thick Whisper White top-folding CS 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 A2. I built this card from the base up first splattering on Basic Black and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker using the caps of the marker flicking the tip. To complete the background, I used a dot/star image from Our House to Yours stamped in Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic Ink.
I die-cut the frame as described above, sized it up on the base, and stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. After stamping the sentiment, I removed the adhesive back from the Stampin’ Dimensionals from the frame and centered on the card around the sentiment as shown. Two Basic Black Sprigs were punched and adhered to the frame with Mini Glue Dots.
I stamped the coffee cup image onto Thick Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I heat embossed a sprig image onto the coffee cup using silver embossing powder. The coffee cup was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals with Rhinestone Basic Jewels scattered about with leftover silver sequins and stars from a Paper Pumpkin Kit. This would also be a great masculine card, along with the multiple color possibilities.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
