Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a friendship card created from the new Darling Details Bundle, which is one of my favorites from the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. The dies in this bundle alone are fabulous with so many standalone dies + the line art with DistINKtive fill-in images.
You can find the Darling Details Bundle on page 68 of the Annual Catalog.
This is one of those bundles that you want to use a Sharpie with to mark the top of the stamp and coordinating die-cut for easy alignment, especially with the smaller images.
The scripty and Courier fonts combined for the sentiments are perfect.
I also brought in the Cottage Wreaths stamp set, Country Wreaths Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Scalloped Contours Dies, and Stitched Rectangle Dies.
Today’s colors are Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Wild Wheat, and Pecan Pie.
To embellish, Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins and Basic Rhinestone Jewels were used.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I put together this card a bit unconventional and backwards, like I normally do without saying it. I usually start with the image panel and especially when I’m combining products that are not to scale with each other.
My card base is Bubble Bath. I cut the image panel mat and DSP to size per the Instructions, as this panel used an inlay technique, as it is a perfect fit and where I derived the DSP measurements from to inlay the DSP image panel.
For this card, I a stamped wreath from Cottage Wreaths and then added the larger images from the Darling Details Bundle.
I stamped the wreath onto Basic White CS with Soft Sea Foam ink and used the largest Layering Circle Die to cut the wreath.
I then took the leaf spring image from Darling Details stamp set and stamped that twice at the top left and bottom right onto the wreath with Soft Sea Foam ink.
The sentiment was stamped into the middle of the wreath using the masking technique to get the ‘Hello’ in Wild Wheat and ‘There’ in Pecan Pie.
I then went about stamping the floral and leaf images from Darling Details in various colors then seriously winged how I was going to put this together. From the Darling Details stamp set, I settled on:
- Two large and 2 small flowers: Lemon Lolly + Pecan Pie. I colored in the stamen for the 2 small flowers with a Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker, and BTW, the small tip has changed this year to a blunt tip that has totally stepped up how I can use these markers. For the stamens in the Lemon Lolly flowers, I directly colored the Pecan Pie marker directly onto the stamp then made my impression.
- Roundish flowers: Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.
- Small flowers: Bubble Bath and Flirty Flamingo.
- Leaves: Granny Apple Green and Old Olive.
From the Cottage Wreaths stamp set, the cluster of 3 dots was stamped x3 with Wild Wheat.
As you can see, when I die-cut the images, they look crunchy and broken, and this is on me. I need to keep my cutting plates clean and know better.
For this card, I used a stamped wreath from Cottage Wreaths and then added the larger images from the Darling Details Bundle.
The small cluster of circles is from Cottage Wreaths and was stamped in Wild Wheat onto the image panel.
For final assembly, the Lemon Lolly flowers were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. All of the other stamped and cut images were tucked under the Lemon Lolly flowers with liquid adhesive.
Sequins and rhinestones were used to embellish.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
