Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a few die-cutting ideas using Border Basics coupled with the Peaceful Deer Bundle and Christmas Trees Dies … + a quick sneak peek into our fabulous new Eden’s Garden Suite Collection!
I am writing up this post on Thursday, September 30, before my right fibula (broken leg) repair with a few plates and a lot of screws, which would have been yesterday. I will be staying on my Tuesday and Thursday posts with a pre-release suite collection coming up from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog of Eden’s Garden.
As of today, I should have this on board and will be using this new suite collection in my Handmade Holidays 2021 Series. That is how versatile this beautiful suite collection is and I hope that you join me! Enjoy the sneak peek! Eden’s Garden is a very easy transition into your spring papercrafting, too!
Sign up for my Newsletter for the full details. This beautiful suite collection will be available to you on November 2, 2021 through January 3, 2022. After January 3, you will have to wait another 5 months for the new catalog availability. Again, this suite collection is the perfect addition to your holiday papercrating.
For today’s card below, as always, your Supplies and Instructions, with measurements, are below.
I started out with a landscape card base in Basic White Thick and die-cut the card base with the stitched scalloped shape from Basic Borders at the very bottom edge. I then cut the same die into Sahara Sand CS and the buffalo plaid pattern from Peaceful Prints Sale-A-Bration DSP, that just expired.
I adhered all of this to the card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive. This was way more easy without the liquid adhesive bulk, as I knew I was adding more layers.
There’s an extremely like pattern in our Neutrals 6 x 6 DSP that can be easily substituted for the SAB pattern.
There’s really no measurements for the layering panels, except for the 5-1/2 across. I winged the measurements for the simple fact that I had a great piece of leftover Peaceful Prints DSP in the pattern above that I wanted to use.
If you missed out on the Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper, I have plenty that’s leftover and will be packaging all of the DSP as a sampler pack for you to purchase or to use as a BOGO; buy one, get one FREE.
I stamped the sentiments onto Basic White CS with Bermuda Bay ink x2 impression. I did the same with the deer onto Sahara Sand CS that I punched out, which was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I completely forgot about the Vellum CS mat under the sentiment panel, which is not listed in the Supplies. This is one of our cardstock staples and one that’s often neglected.
The tree was cut from Basic White Regular CS with the large tree die from Christmas Trees Dies and adhered with liquid adhesive.
I scattered about 3 Opal Rounds in various sizes. I love using non-traditional colors on cards.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
