Hello there y’all! I might have a few more alcohol marker coloring projects for you next week during a product focus showcasing two beautiful bundles from two publications where I’ve been enjoying stretching the creative part out, as I find the DSP is not my style and difficult to work with. This should be interesting. What I am finding out is that the DSP is perfect for many sleeper sets that has me wanting to play with them more.
Today’s card features Lovely Lattice and Well Said Bundle with all of those fantastic word framelits. I’m still laying down my images in Basic Gray for a break in the routine Memento Tuxedo Black, and re-stamping the image after colored by placing it back in the Stamparatus.
The flower basket was stamped onto Thick Whisper White with Basic Gray ink. The flowers are colored in with Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. When you use water-based ink and alcohol markers, there is no smearing and it’s awesome. How many of you feel me when you’re down to coloring that last detail on your project and you get a smudge or notice bleeding? It’s painful. I added Mango Melody with Calypso Coral for color variation.
I die-cut the image panel down to 3-5/8 x 4-3/4 using a Rectangle Stitched Framelit. I took the next size framelit up and cut a frame from Petal Promenade DSP, which is a completely different color palette than mine, but it worked, as I incorporated in a Mossy Meadow card base, and mixed up our standard 4 color groups all across the board, including my embellishments. Technically, this shouldn’t have worked, but it did, and I’m good with that. I laid down the floral frame first and inlaid the image panel, which went onto a piece of Mossy Meadow CS. I tied variegated ribbon around the top into a big loopy bow, added 3 sequins, and placed pearls on the inside. I kept the Rule of 3’s with my stacked die-cut word, sequins/pearls, and ribbon by arrangement.
These word dies stack nicely and gave this project a little dimension. Thank you so very much for stopping by today for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
