Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Global Design Project #428, where there is a challenge to CASE the Designer.
Remember that when you CASE a project you can take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set – the colors, the sketch, the theme, the images – whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.
I went with the Dainty Delight and Beach Day Bundles from the Annual Catalog and Spring Catalog, as well as the Basics Embossing Folders from our Online Exclusives product line. Today’s colors are Bubble Bath, Soft Sea Foam, and Pool Party. My CASE is the sketch for this card.
After a week of high temps between -4 thru -13 in a polar vortex, ice + 10″ of snow, today’s temp of 20 is such a refreshing heatwave. It’s going to be 35 tomorrow and I might have to break out the shorts.
As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.
I started out with an A2 Basic White Thick CS base and cut the image panel to size, as well as a piece of Pool Party CS slightly smaller.
Next, I die-cut 3 circles using the Everyday Details Dies out of the image panel and adhered the Pool Party CS behind the image panel.
From the circle die-cuts, I ran them through one of the Basics EF and then inlaid them atop the Pool Party CS with liquid adhesive. You can see the Pool Party CS peeking through the outer edge of the circles that really helps break up the white with the dry embossing and the Pool Party embellishments used.
I stamped the large floral image from Dainty Delight onto Basic White Thick CS in Smoky Slate ink and colored the flowers with Bubble Bath and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Markers, then re-stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black to sharpen up the lines. The image was then cut from it’s coordinating Dainty Delight Die.
My sentiment is from the Beach Day Bundle that was stamped onto Basic Black CS with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white powder. I cut this to size and cropped the right with a Happy Labels Punch.
Lastly, the image and sentiment were adhered to the card base with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and embellished with Pool Party Glossy Dots.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
