Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a watercolor graduation card created with the Hand-Penned Suite Collection, which is one of my favorite suites from the new Annual Catalog.
The Scalloped Contours Dies, which is a part of the Color & Contour Bundle, is a must-have staple with the fantastic frames in the dies. I used the largest die to cut the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper frame to mat the image watercolor panel on. The image panel was cut with the 3-1/8 x 4-1/2 or the 3rd rectangle from the largest, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
The floral image from Hand-Penned Petals was stamped onto the Watercolor Paper with Versamark and gold heat embossed. I used the small Water Painter to color in the leaves with Garden Green, the large flowers with Petal Pink and Pale Papaya, and the small flowers with Highland Heather. I let the panel dry completely and then adhered it to the DSP with Seal.
When I watercolor, I paint the image with clear water first and then drop my color in. When you heat emboss your images, you automatically have a “well” that will contain your color. If you feel you get too much water, simply dab the excess up with a paper towel.
The sentiment was stamped in Versamark onto Basic Black CS and heat embossed in gold. This was cut from the 2-5/8 x 5/8 Stitched Rectangle die and adhered to the front of the image panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
All 3 layers were then adhered to the Garden Green card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. This was very easy and relaxing to create. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
