SUOC 270: Sky High ~ Anything That Flies With Hey, Chick!

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a card created with the Hey Chick Bundle and for our card challenge at SUOChallenges 270, with a theme of anything that flies, and hope that you join us!

On Thursday, I will feature a project made with the coordinating bundle of Hey Birthday Chick with a scene card.

I ran out of birthday cards and must replenish my stash. I’m glad I need these cards rather than the sympathy ones as of late. It’s finally warming up here and above zero now! It’s supposed to hit 55 today and I can’t wait to open up my sunroof again! This card has some great dimension and texture with dirtying up the Crumb Cake layers and image panel.

I started out with an A2 top-folding landscape 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 Crumb Cake card base. I cut a piece of DSP from World of Good to 5-3/8 x 4-1/8 and distressed the edges with Soft Suede ink and a Sponge Dauber. The mat was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

As always, your supplies and measurements are below. I cut sentiment anchor panel and adhered it to the card base with Seal. The sentiment panel was cut, stamped, and punched. I wrapped Linen Thread around this twice with the bow to the left and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The image panel mat was die-cut from Basic Black and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Regular Basic White image panel was dirtied up in the same manner as above.

As you can see from the side above, the hen image was stamped onto the image panel. The hen was was again stamped onto a piece of Thick Basic White with Smoky Slate, colored in with Stampin’ Blends, re-stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, die-cut, and adhered to the image panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
