How to Keep Stamped Images Crisp + Country Lane Suite

Hey y’all. I’m back today with a very fun envelope pocket. Ronda Wade has a video on Facebook to make one of these fun, easy and quick little gifts. This is also known as a modified “accordian file.” I also have a great craft hack for you to help keep your images crisp after coloring them all up with basically wax buildup.

In true Cindy style, there was absolutely no way I was going to open the pocket to photograph … not after that bow working. It happens.

I am showcasing the Country Lane Suite in the new Holiday Catalog, available to you on September 5, unless you come on board my Creative Stampers Team. This will allow you to immediately order new products and add these to your Starter Kit at 20% discount.

When you use colored pencils on colored card stock, you have to color the entire image white first. You then apply your color over that and blend out. This way, the color shows up on the card stock more true to color and vibrant. Before you start to color, be sure to clean the stamp off and LEAVE it in your Stamparatus. After you color the image, place your card stock back into the Stamparatus, ink up, and make your impression again. Inking up the image after coloring allows you to define your lines that were colored over and will fix a multitude of little coloring sins. You can do this with any coloring medium. This step really freshens up your image. You can see by the picture below I was able to capture the original image in its entirety with the stamped detail along the sides of the pitcher.

The bow unties and the image panel opens up the pocket. I also used Crumb Cake Medium Envelopes inside the pocket to tie panels together. Country Lane Designer Series Paper was used for the entire wrap.

I hope you enjoyed this adorable project. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit. Have a great day and God bless!
