Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a trio of birthday cards created from the Awash With Beauty and Hues of Happiness Suite Collections.
All of the aforementioned suite collection products mix perfectly with colors, scale, everything, and I encourage you to pick them both up … because I’ve seen our 2022 Holiday Catalog and our 2nd Sale-A-Bration of the year products, and you don’t want these collections going on backorder OR the Tea Boutique Suite Collection.
Join my team TODAY and you can see the new catalogs + get an extra $66 in free products until May 31 ONLY. I sent out info in my newsletter on Tuesday.
These cards would be a great gift set tucked into a box or 3D coordinating project with tags, which is what I’m designing right now for a video tutorial.
The images and die-cuts are from Hues of Happiness with the sentiment from Awash in Beauty that I cut in half to make it work for me.
I brought in other elements of the suite collections and a sprig cut from Designer Tags.
One of my favorite designer series paper from the new Annual Catalog is Perfectly Penciled. On one side, you can color the DSP with any of our coloring mediums. On the flip side, is my absolute favorite black and white patterns in today’s trendiest designs.
I am completely out of birthday cards and had to replenish. The easiest way to do that is with creating multiples of the same design, which is my focus today.
All of the cards have the exact same dimensions and I used my Stamparatus to achieve everything lining up with this card trio.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
All 3 cards have identical measurements. The only differences are the DSP patterns from the same pack and colors that I used from the suite collections.
I cut 3 A2 top-folding cards from Basic White Thick CS.
I layered on a piece of 1″ Perfectly Penciled DSP at the far left with liquid adhesive using the L-corner of my Stamparatus to secure perfect placement.
I cut 3 panels from Basic White CS measuring 3-1/4 x 5-1/2. I cut the large standalone die from the center of the image panel and flicked on Wink of Stella and Basic Black splatter using the cap of the Stampin’ Write Basic Black Marker.
I stamped the sentiments with Memento Tuxedo Black, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back the image panel, and set them aside to assemble at the end where we build up our final presentation.
These cards are super easy to create. Since our DSP is 2-sided, we have 2 sheets each of flowers and greenery that you can cut from the Hues of Happiness coordinating dies. I only cut up 1 to preserve the patterns on the opposite sides. However, I have no problem cutting the flowers and greenery using all the DSP and ordering more.
The only stamping on these cards was the sentiment that I cut in half from the photopolymer clear stamp set, which always easily fits back together.
I went with the darker hues in the designer series paper with the Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape, and Melon Mambo.
I’ve talked about unpacking these 2 suite collections to use together and I’m just getting started.
I cut one 3 x 4 piece of Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, and Orchid Oasis for a total of 3 pieces from the 2022-2024 In Color 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper from the light ombre’ side of the paper.
I evenly lined up the Glimmer Paper behind the image panels and used a small piece of our Masking Paper to keep the paper in place as I applied liquid adhesive to the back of the paper then used the L-corner of my Stamparatus and the image panel as a guide to adhere the Glimmer Paper to the card base.
All of the flowers and greenery were die-cut from the coordinating Blossoming Happiness Die that are part of the Hues of Happiness Suite Collection.
The greenery at the bottom of the floral cluster was cut from a sprig die from Designer Tags and Pear Pizzazz CS. I’m using this die as my “stems.”
I grabbed the spools of ribbon and tied a few bows to accent my floral cluster.
For final assembly, I grouped the flowers together, used liquid adhesive where needed and Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back.
I adhered the “stem” with liquid adhesive with the flowers above that.
I tucked in the cuts from the DSP greenery around the flowers using a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The bows were adhered with Mini Glue Dots.
One large and 2 smaller Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
I hope you enjoyed today’s projects and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
