Introduction to Beauty & Joy + 2 Cards

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for 2 cards made with Beauty & Joy.

I should have presented Playful Penguins yesterday in the same manner, but my time management hasn’t been the best lately with the holidays and my usual menopause scatter brain. This was literally going to be the only winter in my life where I was looking forward to hot flashing my way through it, thinking I could minimize the suffering. Sounds great until you turn your heat down to 60 at night with the 2 am bonus round of throwing a pillow and blanket on the garage floor after you sweat through your bedsheets. It was awful. I never slept. I made the deliberate decision to respect my boundaries and went back on the strongest dose of estrogen known to man and life is great again.

I’m finishing up the last of the great purge using The Konmari Method and will be done by the end of January.

This week’s video will premiere early Friday, rather than Saturday, so I can reveal 4 new Product Suites for you. It’s going to be a longer video without a voiceover and live.

I have 2 more holiday bundles to share with you of Still Scenes and Cheers To That, which I will start next week. I’m definitely sneaking in the Spring Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration products on a few days.

I really wish that I had inked up this beautiful DistINKtive 13-piece photopolymer stamp set much earlier for Autumn. With color modifications, this set can be used for all seasons.

For my first card, I brought in Brightly Gleaming DSP with the coordinating Very Vanilla Copper 1/2″ Ribbon using a Copper Foil Sheet to mat the image and sentiment onto a Pretty Peacock A2, top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card.

The stripped DSP on the lower 2″ of the card has Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, and Night of Navy, which I used throughout the card. The planter was stamped in Smoky Slate with the topiary stamped in Old Olive with Real Red Rhinestones used as ornaments. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy. The base/branches of the topiary where stamped in Soft Suede, which I forgot to include on the Supply List. Stitched Rectangles Dies were used to cut both the image and sentiment panel.

For the second card, I have a Basic Black A2, side-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card base layered with another new Holiday Catalog product that I haven’t used yet of the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate paper and this acetate is fantastic. I’m also keeping it on board. You can color this with Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers) and I’m looking forward to presenting a project to you with this technique soon. The planter and sentiment were stamped in Basic Gray with Mint Macaron and Pretty Peacock for the greenery with Real Red berries. I hand cut the Pretty Peacock Scallop Trim Ribbon down to only show the scalloped side.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit these 2 projects, that I hope you’ve enjoyed and found inspiration in. If you want a Christmas card sent to you, please contact me. Have a great day and God bless.

  1. These are very pretty!
Sorry you have had a rough time…. but it sounds like your Konmari purge is going well! Trouble is ALL my stuff brings me joy! 🙂 I am so not good at purging.
