Introduction to Friendly Gnomes

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for an introduction to the Friendly Gnomes stamp set that’s on page 40 of the new Spring Catalog for 2023. This stamp set coordinates perfectly with the carryover Gnomes Dies from the Holiday Catalog.

I incorporated my spring favorite designer series papers of Country Gingham and Country Floral Lane, both of which are from the Country Floral Lane Suite Collection, and I’m already on my 2nd pack of both DSPs.

Today’s project is a tag card using our Stampin’ Blends to color in the adorable gnome image.

This is a very fun project to make and simple to complete that did not take very long at all. The designer series patterns coordinated perfectly and made this even more easy.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with a Petal Pink card base and layered on my designer series paper with Seal Adhesive.

Balmy Blue and Basic White Double-Stitched Ribbon was used to transition the designer series paper that was adhered to the card base DSP with Tear & Tape.

I cut the largest curved-top Tailored Tags die twice from Basic White Regular CS and Country Floral DSP, both of which were adhered together with liquid adhesive. I then cut the reinforcement circle from Petal Pink CS and adhered this to the tag with liquid adhesive. I found the perfect length of a thick twine and tied it through the top of the tag.

The gnome was stamped with Sahara Sand ink onto Basic White Regular CS. I left the image in my Stamparatus to re-stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black ink once I colored in the image with my Stampin’ Blends to crisp up the line art.

This is how I colored the gnome with our Stampin’ Blends:

  1. Hat: Mint Macaron
  2. Nose/Hands: Petal Pink
  3. Arms: Balmy Blue
  4. Heart: Sweet Sorbet
  5. Beard: Smoky Slate/Color Lifter
  6. Boots: Smoky Slate

The gnome was then cut from it’s coordinating Gnomes Dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Gnomes stamp set onto Basic White Regular CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used my Paper Trimmer to sharp cut that to size at about 1/2″ in width.

For final assembly, the tag was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals at an angle.

The gnome was adhered to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals making sure the image would be straight on the tag.

The sentiment was adhered to the tag with liquid adhesive that I trimmed at the edges with my Paper Snips with 2 small Sweet Sorbet Matte Decorative Dots to accent.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
