Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge #68, where we have a winter theme and hope that you join us!
I am using the Joyful Flurry Bundle for this project with a lot of products brought in from Lights Aglow of the designer series paper, gold glimmer, ribbon, and pearls.
This is such a fun bundle with some fantastic standalone die-cuts with sentiment panels that you will be seeing more of as Christmas approaches. It’s been a long time since I’ve had snow images in my craft arsenal since this California girl is not a fan of snow now living in the Midwest.
Some of the standalone Frosted Flurry Dies cut out only partial images, so you can pop up the cutout pieces for a unique dimensional look. You can find this bundle on page 19 of the Holiday Catalog, as well as our Adhesive-Backed Sequins & Gems in Coastal Cabana, Fresh Freesia, and iridescent.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with a Basic White Thick CS base and layered on a piece of Lights Aglow DSP in Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, and gold with Seal Adhesive.
I cut the image mat, also from Lights Aglow DSP, and the image panel from Basic White Regular CS, per the measurements below.
I stamped the sentiment from Joyful Flurry at the top of the image panel with Evening Evergreen ink.
Two snowflakes were stamped in Versamark ink, heat set with gold powder, and cut from their coordinating Frosted Flurry Dies.
Two small snowflakes were cut from a standalone die using Glimmer Specialty Paper in gold.
For final assembly, I adhered the sentiment/image panel to the Lights Aglow DSP mat with Seal and tied a length of Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged ribbon around the lower 1/3 of the image panel that was bowed to the right. The entire panel was adhered to the card base with Stampin Dimensionals.
The snowflakes were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the gold glimmer snowflakes in the middle of the flakes and then added a Soft Succulent Festive Pearl to the center of the gold snowflakes. I lifted up the edges with my Take Your Pick tool.
Three more Soft Succulent Festive Pearls were adhered on the image panel for additional embellishing.
For the inside, I always adhere scraps of DSP where I can. For this project, Lights Aglow and Gold Glimmer were adhered to the bottom of the card base with liquid adhesive for the DSP and Tear & Tape for the Glimmer.
The sentiment was stamped at the top with Evening Evergreen ink.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
