Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Let’s Craft & Create Challenge #204, where there is always an Anything Goes with an optional twist. This month, it’s stripes and|or polka dots. I went with the stripes to create a shaker card from the Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection and Biggest Wish stamp set.
The colors in the Iridescent Shaker Circles coordinate perfectly with the colors in the Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection. The Gold Celebrations Specialty Designer Series Paper included in the Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection has these fabulous window sheets and I used the silver star pattern.
This was such an easy and fun project. Everybody loves a shaker card.
As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.
I started with an A2 Basic White Thick CS base. I cut a pieces of Basic White Regular CS, the window sheet, and striped DSP to A2 and die-cut all of the panels with the 3rd largest die from Stitched Rectangles leaving a 1/2″ margin all the way around.
I saved the Basic White Regular CS inside the frame that was die-cut to stamp the sentiment on from Biggest Wish.
Next, I used Seal Adhesive to adhere the frame of the Basic White Regular CS cut from Stitched Rectangles to the card base.
The sentiment was stamped on the Stitched Rectangle cut in Memento Tuxedo Black from Biggest Wish. I inlaid the sentiment panel on the card base with liquid adhesive.
I adhered the window sheet behind the striped frame with Seal Adhesive and then Foam Adhesive Strips adhered to the window sheet.
For final assembly, a lot of Iridescent Shaker Circles were used to cover the die-cut sentiment panel. I peeled the adhesive off the back of the shaker frame and adhered that to the card base.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
