Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Let’s Craft & Create #213, where the monthly challenge is Anything Goes with an option and for this month, the option is to use a bow. Easy enough. Unfortunately, these pictures are awful and no matter what I tried, I could not get the right light, so there’s no true representation of how nice this actually turned out. The color combination of Copper Clay and Pumpkin Pie with a Real Red accent color + a tiny bit of Early Espresso is unique; it just doesn’t photograph well.
For today’s project, I made a fun coffee card featuring the More Than Autumn Bundle and Yuletide Village stamp set.
Watercolor Pencils and Small Blending Brushes using Pumpkin Pie completed the line art images with Vellum and shiny embellishments + the Linen Thread bow. The polka dot panels on the coffee cups were paper pieced.
As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.
I started out with an A2 top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Copper Clay card base and cut another piece of Copper Clay CS to 4 x 5-1/4 for the mat that the Online Exclusives Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper cut to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 that was adhered to the mat with Tear & Tape around the edges. I don’t mind the line you see behind the vellum of the adhesive this time around because the aesthetics worked out. Normally, I would use liquid adhesive behind the coffee cups and donuts to hide the adhesive.
The image panel was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next, I stamped 2 coffee cups, 3 donuts, 3 hearts, ice cubes, and the froth onto Basic White Regular CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The coffee cups and donuts were colored with a Pumpkin Pie Watercolor Pencil with the color pulled out using a Blender Pen, as were the hearts with Real Red and outer edge of the donut with Early Espresso. All of the images were cut from their coordinating die-cut.
I used a Small Blending Brush to ink a piece of Basic White Regular CS with Pumpkin Pie ink. I stamped the dot image from Yuletide Village onto the piece of CS with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Powder. I then stamped the coffee cup image again x2 onto the blended piece of CS and used my Paper Snips to fussy cut the center of the coffee cup out that was then adhered to the Watercolor Pencil coffee cups with liquid adhesive. The ice cubes and froth were adhered to the top of the coffee cups with liquid adhesive.
All of the images were arranged and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown.
I tied a large bow with Linen Thread that was adhered to the top right donut with a Mini Glue Dot.
The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White Regular CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, fussy cut, and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Lastly, Iridescent Faceted Gems and pearls left over from a Paper Pumpkin Kit were used to embellish.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
