Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Let’s Craft & Create Challenge #194, where our theme is always Anything Goes with an option and today, that is to use pink and gray, and hope that you join us.
The Annual Catalog and Spring Mini are getting ready to retire so I find myself going back into that a little and will definitely be sharing with you projects from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog throughout the month.
Today’s card is from the Abigail Rose Suite Collection, Dragonfly Garden stamp set, and the Dragonflies Punch. My colors are Petal Pink, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with an A2 top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Basic Gray card base and layered on a piece of 4 x 5-1/4 Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper with Seal Adhesive.
I cut another piece of Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper to 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 and adhered this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals towards the left side of the card.
I cut the Layering Circle Die from Basic White Regular CS and adhered that to the DSP about 3/4″ in with liquid adhesive.
The sentiment from the Cottage Rose stamp set was stamped onto Basic Gray CS with Versamark ink and heat set with white powder. I always pretreat my paper when I heat emboss as it repels the stray powder that doesn’t stick to the Versamark. I cut the sentiment to size with my Paper Trimmer.
I stamped the dragonfly from Dragonfly Gardens onto Basic White Regular CS with Basic Gray ink then punched out the image from the coordinating Dragonflies Punch.
I stamped the flowers from Cottage Rose onto Basic White Regular CS with Smoky Slate ink and used a Sponge Dauber to lightly apply Petal Pink ink in the center of the flower. I went back in and re-stamped the flowers a few more times in Smoky Slate ink to brighten up the image and crisp up the lines. I then cut the flowers out from their coordinating die.
Two sets of leaves were cut from Basic Gray CS.
For final assembly, I laid all of my cuts out and first adhered the dragonfly to the top of the circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flowers were adhered towards the center of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tucked the Basic Gray die-cut leaves under the flowers and circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and liquid adhesive. You see me to this often for dimension.
I tied a bow from Whisper White Baker’s Twine that was adhered to the circle with a Mini Glue Dot.
Now is the time you want to make sure all of your layers line up and this is how I figured out how I had to place the Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the sentiment that was adhered atop of the bow and lined up with the right side of the DSP.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
