Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a Lots of Pun Paper Pumpkin alternative card. I love making cards like these and using the products in my monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit.
For today’s card, I cut an envelope to use as designer series paper for my main image panel and brought in products from our Annual Catalog, as well as basic office products of a mini stapler. There’s a lot of dimension to this card!
If you are a regular reader, you know I utilize products from my Paper Pumpkin Kits throughout the year.
The colors in the January 2022 Kisses & Hugs Paper Pumpkin Kit perfectly coordinate with the Sweet Talk Suite Collection. Be sure to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin in the Supplies below by January 10, 2022, to receive the Kisses & Hugs Paper Pumpkin Kit and join me for a private FREE live Facebook class for all of my Paper Pumpkin subscribers on the first Monday of every month to create the kit contents and alternative projects!
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with an A2 top-folding card base and cut my Pool Party mat from one of the card bases included in the Lots of Pun Paper Pumpkin Kit, that was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I then cut a piece of Basic White Regular CS to mat on top of the Pool Party, which was also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, AFTER I stapled the envelope pattern to the CS.
To build up the card, the next step was to adhere the Square Vellum Doily to the stapled envelope with a little Seal under where the banners were placed.
The image panel is the inside of a solid Daffodil Delight kit envelope. I cut and punched the banner from the outside of the envelope.
I adhered the Crumb Cake pre-printed CS from the kit under the banner with liquid adhesive and the Pattern Party DSP under that.
If you have the kit, my directions and what I’ve done is visually and verbally easier to understand.
This is one of my favorite sketches that I’ve designed. My original design and sketch is over at the Creative Corner, where I went very monochromatic with this last year.
I die-cut the Basic White Regular CS ‘THANKS’ from Playful Alphabet that was adhered with liquid adhesive. I laid the letters down by starting from the far left to the far right, and worked my way in.
The banana was from a pre-cut image in the kit. I used my Paper Snips to trim this up a bit, as it had a wide margin. I added Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of this image.
I partial stamped the sentiment onto Basic White Regular CS that was cut from an Ornate Frames Die and added Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.
I adhered the banana first with the tag sentiment, added a Mini Glue Dot to the tag, then adhered my Basic Black Essentials Baker’s Twine that I bowed.
Lastly, I scattered about 3 Pool Party enamel dot embellishments from the kit on the card.
hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
