Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge #45, where we have a Class Christmas colors challenge, and hope that you join us!
In the Stampin’ Up! color family, our challenge would be Poppy Parade, Real Red, Granny Apple Green, and Garden Green. This card is another inspiration for you in my Handmade Holidays Series.
Today is our last challenge of the year due to the Christmas holidays and we will resume next year with bi-weekly challenges.
I will be finishing up my Handmade Holidays Series on Sunday then will be taking some time off to spend the holidays with my family and friends. However, I will be featuring new content on Tuesday and Thursday.
I used the fabulous Painted Christmas Suite Collection, which is carrying over to next year’s 2022 Holiday Catalog! I combined our red and green color palettes to create this festive project.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with an A2 Merry Merlot card base and layered on a piece of Peaceful Place DSP with Seal. I then die-cut the largest solid scalloped rectangle from Scalloped Contours from Basic White Regular. I chose my sentiment from Christmas to Remember, stamped my sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black in the center of the panel, and added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the image panel.
I laid the image panel onto the card base and drew tick marks for the margins of the image panel so I knew where and how to swag lay down the Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon. I put down a length of Seal in the center and adhered the ribbon in the pattern shown below.
I then adhered the image panel to the card base.
I stamped and die-cut the greenery in Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Garden Green, from Christmas Season stamp set and the coordinating Seasonal Labels Dies.
The berries were stamped in Poppy Parade. The berry image has 4 berries to it. I trimmed off one.
The Old Olive and Garden Green foliage was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive with the holly berry leaves adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The berries were adhered to the leaves with liquid adhesive.
You can see the stunning texture and dimension on this card and how perfectly everything coordinates without being too matchy-matchy.
I used my bone folder to curl up the leaves on the Old Olive images.
As a final embellishment, I scattered about 7 clear sequins from the Expression in Ink Ephemera Pack.
For the inside of the card, I created this much like the front of the card with the same images and measurements.
Don’t forget to check out our new updated Clearance Rack! Many of our items that are carrying over are also deeply discounted and I strongly encourage you to stock up and save!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
