Make the Cards Challenge 40: Color, Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge + Sparkle of the Season

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for the new color challenge over at Make the Cards Challenge and hope that you join us!

Our color challenge is to use orange and I used various hues of orange in my autumn card featuring the Sparkle of the Season Bundle with Heartfelt Wishes and Well Defined stamp sets.

I am also entering this card into The Sisterhood of Crafters where there is a wreath theme until November 7, 2021.

I pulled in a lot of our various products that I normally don’t use on a regular basis that I definitely need to incorporate more into my paper crafting. I really wanted to keep this card simple, but interesting. The richness of the combined metallics with the softness of the light orange family really surprised me with the end result.

As always, your Supplies and Instructions, with measurements, are listed below.

I started out with an A2 side-folding Basic White Thick CS. I layered up on the left crease side of the card base in the following order, all pieces cut to 1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and adhered with Tear & Tape Adhesive, spacing each apart about 1/4″.

  1. Copper Foil Sheet.
  2. Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.
  3. You’re a Peach DSP in the Basic White and Calypso Coral stripe pattern.

I stamped the sentiment from Well Defined at the bottom center of the card base with Versamark Ink and heat set with our Stampin’ Gold Emboss Powder.

I die-cut the wreath with leaves die from Seasonal Swirls Dies from our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I used our Soft Suede Re-inker and our new Water Painters to color the wreath. Mango Melody Re-inker was used as a base on the wreath leaves with a touch of Poppy Parade Re-inker as a complimentary color, all applied with our Water Painters.

Once the wreath was dry, I adhered this to the card base with our liquid adhesive.

I adhered a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the back of our fabulous Pale Papaya In Color Shimmer Vellum and a piece of Pale Papaya CS to the back of that. I used the pumpkin stand-alone die from Seasonal Swirls Dies and cut 5 pumpkins. I used a Sponge Dauber with Pale Papaya ink to add color around the edges of the pumpkins. I a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional on the back of all 5 pumpkins and adhered 3 of them to the wreath on the card front.

To accentuate the pumpkins, I placed a little Champagne Rhinestone around them. To finish the wreath presentation, I tied a pieced of Linen Thread into a bow that was adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Heartfelt Wishes with Soft Suede and adhered the other 2 pumpkins with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional underneath. What do you think of this card?

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
