Hello there! Today’s project features how to mix up your dies, including using seasonal dies and modifying them, and the sleeper die-cuts.
This card kind of just came together and I ended up changing the orientation literally at the last second. I knew I wanted to have the pitcher and flowers from Country Home and keep this inked up folksy, but drew a blank when it came to making it work. I shopped my stash and winged it. Balmy Blue Butterfly Gala DSP covers the Thick Whisper White card base and having inked edges with Crumb Cake. A piece of vellum was cut down and embossed with the Corrugated folder. The charming background buildings are from Hometown Greetings, which is in the Christmas lineup. I altered this a little bit to suit my design eliminating the Christmas look and feel.
The image was colored with Stampin’ Blends, die-cut with Stitched Rectangles, inked edges, and adhered to a mat of Lovely Lipstick. A pair of leaves from Wonderful Floral was die-cut from Soft Suede and adhered behind the image mat. The tag was cut from Wood Crate dies from Coastal Cabana with a sentiment from Wood Words stamped using Versamark and heat embossed with white powder. After that dried, I inked up the floral image again with Coastal Cabana and stamped it off 3x then stamped over the sentiment with inked edges. Old Olive Linen Thread was tied into a double bow and adhered to the tag.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with your dies and use them on your projects. Their versatility is amazing and I hope I’ve showed you a few out-of-the-box ways to use them today. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit. Have a great day and God bless.

Love the way you used the die. Always good to get more mileage from the dies to use them in other ways. Pretty card!
