Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a Mother’s Day card that I created with Flowering Tulips, Painted Poppies, and Peaceful Moments.
Not only that, the new Annual Catalog for 2022-2023 is now launched and for Mother’s Day, treat yourself!
I made two of these, but am featuring the Coastal Cabana card today. I had a senior moment and sent the Mint Macaron card to Rose, my BFF of 45 years, and the other is for one of my BFs where I live whom I’m having brunch with on Mother’s Day.
There are a lot of details to these projects. They are the same except for the color I chose to ink blend on the vellum and leaves. One is in Mint Macaron and the other is Coastal Cabana. The accent color for the stamens is Blackberry Bliss.
The inside was completed to coordinate with the same measurements.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with an A2 top-folding Crumb Cake CS base that I impressed the largest Stitched With Whimsy Die into AND also the inside of the card, as shown below. I cut my Basic White CS to size.
I adhered an Adhesive Sheet to the back of a piece of white script vellum and cut it down to size. The sentiment from Peaceful Moments was stamped at top center with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and heat embossed with Clear Powder.
I then lightly ink blended my color onto the vellum with a Blending Brush. I peeled off the backing of the Adhesive Sheet and adhered the vellum to the center of the Basic White CS mat.
Linen Thread was wrapped around the these two layers an inch up from the bottom and bowed at the left. The entire panel was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three solid and line art dies were cut from Basic White CS from the Painted Labels Dies and adhered with liquid adhesive.
The stamens were cut from Blackberry Bliss CS and also adhered with liquid adhesive.
The leaves were stamped onto Basic White CS with Crumb Cake ink that was stamped off x4. I lightly blended the same color of ink onto the leaves that was used on the vellum. It looked too matchy-matchy so I went over it again with very light Crumb Cake on a Blending Brush that greatly improved the design with more contrast and complimentary texture.
For final assembly, I adhered the poppies first with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used my Bone Folder to curl up the edges of the leaves, which were adhered with liquid adhesive and tucked under the poppies.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
