Make the Cards Challenge #57 with Forever Fern + Full of Love Color Block

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge #57 to use any shade of blue and hope that you join us. We are also having a Design Team call and invite you to apply. The announcement and requirements are on the MTCC Facebook page.

This is a super easy and clean card to make using color blocks with Tahitian Tide, Pacific Point, and Night of Navy. Forever Fern was used for the image with Full of Love for the sentiment.

This is a color block technique with a steady theme throughout of flowers and love. The color combinations are endless with color blocking.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 top-folding card base and cut my Basic Black and Basic White Regular CS mats.

The Basic Black mat was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut the 3 blue colors of Tahitian Tide, Pacific Point, and Night of Navy to the measurements below.

I lined up the paper in the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine for an flawless and flowing pattern.

I used liquid adhesive to secure the embossed panels leaving about 1/8″ at the top and bottom of the Basic White CS mat. The image panel was adhered to the Basic Black CS mat with liquid adhesive.

The image from Forever Fern was stamped in Pacific Point ink onto Basic White Regular CS and cut with the largest die from Layering Circles.

The sentiment from Full of Love was stamped with Versamark onto Basic Black CS, heat embossed with white powder, then cut from a long sentiment die from Harvest Dies.

For final assembly, the image circle was adhered to the color block with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow using our Basic White Baker’s Twine that I adhered to the left of the image panel with a Mini Glue Dot.

The sentiment was adhered with liquid adhesive at the bottom of the image panel.

One large and 2 small Heart Pearls were placed around the card to embellish and keeping that love thing going. I’m sending this card to my BFF of 45 years so it’s okay to get a little mushy with her.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!

Be sure to join me on Saturday for a video tutorial on how to create an explosion stationery box with Autumn and Christmas products from the Holiday Catalog!
