Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a sketch challenge at Make the Cards Challenge #66 and hope that you join us.
Every project starts with a sketch and I always appreciate a good one, especially when you’re in a creative dungeon … and I find myself there … again.
For today’s sketch challenge, I am showcasing the Fitting Florets Collection that was first introduced HERE. Be sure to pick this up on November 1. The large Christmas sentiments are fabulous!
I do not have the usual Supply and Instruction List because the collection is not available yet, but will describe in detail below.
I started out with an A2 top-folding Polished Pink CS card base and layered on a piece of 4 x 5-1/4 Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper with liquid adhesive.
I cut a strip of Polished Pink CS to 4 x 1/4″ and laid that across the DSP with liquid adhesive.
A length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon was zig-zagged across the card front using Seal to spot adhere in the middle.
I cut the frame 2x from Blushing Bride and Basic White Regular CS. The sentiment from Framed Florets was stamped onto the white circle with Evening Evergreen ink. The Blushing Bride die-cut frame was adhered on the back to the sentiment circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the sentiment circle that was then adhered to the card base.
I cut the accent florals at the bottom of the frame from the designer series paper from the Framed Florets Dies that was adhered with liquid adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls were adhered a shown to embellish.
For the inside, I cut a piece of Basic White Regular CS to 4 x 5-1/4 and stamped the sentiment top middle with Polished Pink ink.
I took a scrap piece of DSP, which I do a lot for the inside because I don’t like to waste paper and am neurotic about having loose paper flying all over the place. Anyhow, I measured this up against the bottom of the sentiment panel and stamped a large floral image with Evening Evergreen. The scrap DSP was adhered to the bottom with liquid adhesive with the entire panel adhered to the card base with Seal.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!

This is so lovely. I especially love the sentiment. What stamp set does that come from?
