Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a card created from the new Stamped With Love set that will be available to you in a few short days. This was so much fun to make using my Tim Holtz Acrylic Design Ruler that made everything easy with perfect placement. This ruler is very unique and I will share more about that below.
There is fantastic line art and sentiments in this set and I encourage you to pick it up.
Today’s colors are Poppy Parade, Boho Blue, and Starry Sky; all of which are perfect postal colors. I used some postal twine that I’ve had in my stash for years around the post box. If you keep your Paper Pumpkin kits, this stamp set coordinates beautifully with the January 2018 Paper Pumpkin.
To start, I cut a piece of Basic White Thick CS to an A2 top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.
I cut strips of Poppy Parade and Boho Blue CS into 1/8″ strips that were adhered 1/4″ apart.
Using my Tim Holtz Acrylic Design Ruler, I drew my pencil lines atop of the Basic White Regular CS. How I did that was using the holes for piercing in the ruler to mark where the next line should be drawn as I was drawing the line above it using the straight edge side.
This ruler is such a useful crafting tool as it is a clear measuring stick with a straight edge and grid for drawing lines and measuring lengths + a metal strip for cutting and evenly spaced holes for piercing.
Once I got all of my lines drawn, I adhered the CS down alternating colors with liquid adhesive then trimmed the excess off the edge. You will want to use your Silicone Craft Mat when you use liquid adhesive. I wasn’t thinking and ended up turning my work space into a gluey mess.
I stamped the post box tone-on-tone onto Poppy Parade and Starry Sky with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Basic White Regular CS. I fussy cut the post box out piecing together box of Starry Sky and Basic White Regular onto the Poppy Parade CS.
The little red heart was stamped onto the white envelope with the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Boho Blue CS and cut to size.
I wrapped some postal Baker’s Twine around the box x2 tied to the left.
For final assembly, I cut the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle from Basic White Regular CS that was adhered to the card base with liquid adhesive.
The post box and sentiment were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
