Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #364 where our theme is to Honor Our Heroes and hope that you join us. This challenge certainly seems fitting for Election Day.
I used the retired Give It A Whirl Dies for the stitched stars. I keep the basics on board, retired or not. These dies have great shapes of stars, clouds, hearts, frames, and so much more. You might see them in the Clearance Rack and I’ll let you know when there’s a refresh.
This was super easy to make and a great way to use cardstock or designer series paper scraps.
As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.
This card has a 5 x 4 Basic White Thick CS landscape base.
I cut several strips of Real Red CS to 5-1/2 x 1/4″ and one Basic White Thick CS strip to the same size to evenly space to use as a template as I laid down the Real Red CS to the base of the card with liquid adhesive and then cut the excess CS off.
Next, I cut the 2nd largest Nested Essentials Die out of Night of Navy CS, as well as several stars from Give It A Whirl Dies out of Basic White Regular CS. These were glued onto the Night of Navy CS with liquid adhesive. That panel was adhered to the very top left of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Lastly, my sentiment is from Blueberry Bunches stamped onto Night of Navy CS with Versamark ink, heat set with white powder, then cut out from another Give It A Whirl Die that was then adhered to the bottom right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
