MTCC #64: Washi Tape Challenge

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge #64, where our challenge is for you to use Washi Tape and we hope that you play along with us.

The Rustic Harvest Suite Collection from the Holiday Catalog with the I need to leave this on my desk Charming Sentiments Bundle from the Annual Catalog.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 Basic White Thick CS base.

At 1″ down from the top of the card base, I layered on my Washi Tape in Old Olive, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, and Basic Black.

I applied the Rule of Odds consistently throughout my process of the Washi Tape x7, Basic Black x5, stamped leaves x3, and Leaf Label x1.

I embossed the Leaf Label from the Rustic Harvest Suite Collection with the Tree Rings EF and sponged the edges with a Sponged Dauber in Soft Suede ink. I then adhered the leaf with Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals with a teeny bit of our Fine Tip Glue Pen atop of the dimensionals as they do not adhere well to the texture of the glitter, but the glue pen does.

I stamped the leaves from Hello Harvest x3 in Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Highland Heather, all of which were cut from its coordinating Rustic Pumpkin Dies.

The sentiments from the Charming Sentiments Bundle were stamped onto Basic Black CS with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white powder. The sentiments were cut from their coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes Dies.

For final assembly, I tucked the Pumpkin Pie leaf under the Leaf Label at the top right with the Old Olive and Highland Heather leaves tucked as shown, all of which were adhered with Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiments were adhered with Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown.

Three Basic Black Classic Matte Dots were adhered to embellish.

Lastly, I brought in a Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker to splatter on the card front to minimize the stark white of the CS and to add textural interest.
