Color Theory with Poppy Moments Dies + Sending Smiles Bundle

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a Color Theory project featuring Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray with the Poppy Moments Dies and Sending Smiles Bundle.

This is a fabulous color combination using only 3 color families; however, when you add dark accent colors, it really gives a vibrancy to any project.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 card base in Basic White Thick CS and layered on a piece of Smoky Slate Neutrals 6 x 6 DSP.

I cut the image mat to different measurements than the usual by 1/16″.

Next, I started die-cutting my the flowers and the leaves from Poppy Moments Dies.

I cut one large and one small flower from Basic White Regular CS with the overlays from Basic Gray CS.

The leaves were cut from Old Olive CS with the overlays from Mossy Meadow CS.

All of the overlays were adhered with liquid adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from Sending Smiles onto Gorgeous Grape CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut the sentiment from its coordinating frame die in the Sending Smiles Bundle.

I tied a double bow from Whisper White Twine in the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack.

For final assembly, Stampin’ Dimensionals were adhered to the back of the flowers and I arranged my leaves on the card base as to how they would look the best, that were then adhered with liquid adhesive. The flowers were then adhered to the card base.

The sentiment was adhered over the flowers with liquid adhesive on the left with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional on the right.

To embellish, two Gorgeous Grape and 3 Highland Heather Pastel Pearls where adhered to the card base.

I tucked the Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow under the largest flower with a Mini Glue Dot.
