Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a simple stamping card created with the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle and another fun color combination of Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, and Fresh Freesia.
I also did some partial die-cutting for the sentiment tag using Tailor Made Tags that carried over from the Holiday Catalog. Other techniques on this project are partial die-cutting with our Watercolor Pencils for faux no-line watercoloring and heat embossing.
I’m really looking forward to your suggestions from yesterday’s card as to how I should complete it!
You can do anything with this bundle. I have seen the leaves and stem die-cut tucked under a piece of CS as French Fries.
The Flowering Rain Boots Bundle is a spin-off of the extremely popular March 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit.
You can find this bundle on page 30 in the Spring Catalog, which is pictured below. I love the fonts and DistINKtive images in this bundle with the decorative stand-alone dies.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below. I forgot, again, to add our Adhesive Sheets to the Supplies. Our Adhesive Sheets are critical when using Vellum so no adhesive is showing through.
I started out with an A2 top-folding Fresh Freesia card base. I cut a piece of Basic White Regular CS and black and white Vellum Layering Designs DSP from the largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I added adhered a 6 x 6 cut Adhesive Sheet to the front of the Basic White CS and layered on the vellum using the L corner in my Stamparatus. I use this tool for a lot more than stamping that you’ve seen me do in all of my VIDEOS+ the other techniques used in this card of partial die-cutting, Watercolor Pencils, and more. Black Stampin’ Dimensionals were adhered to the back of this panel.
This card was very easy to make and assemble.
The boots were stamped onto Basic White Regular CS with Coastal Cabana ink and cut from its coordinating die.
The flowers were stamped onto Basic White Regular CS with Calypso Coral ink, filled in with a Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencil, and blended out with a pen, then cut from its coordinating die.
Black Stampin’ Dimensionals were put on the back of both images.
I added Fresh Freesia In Color Jewels as the stamen (center) of the daisies in both sizes available.
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink onto Basic Black CS and heat embossed with our silver powder.
I lined up the 2nd largest flat edge Tailor Made Tags die over the heat embossed sentiment where I wanted the die to cut and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I moved the sentiment tag down the die where I wanted it to cut the right side of the tag, making sure that the dotted notches “clicked” in to a pre-existing notch to alter the tag.
I tied a length of black and white twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo through the top of the tag and a large Fresh Freesia In Color Jewel at the top left of the tag. The tag was adhered with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I then placed the main images where they would look the most attractive and adhered to the vellum panel.
For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White CS from the largest Stitched Rectangle Die and used a piece of scrap from the vellum at the bottom. The sentiment was stamped at the top left in Calypso Coral ink. The right lower seed packet was stamped in Coastal Cabana, cut from its coordinating die, and adhered to the inside with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
