Slimline Card with Artfully Layered Suite Collection

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a slimline card created with the Artfully Layered Suite Collection, that you will find on pages 32-34 of the Spring Catalog. I used every single product from this suite collection today.

The Artfully Layered Suite Collection has large scale images and sentiments that are my favorites, which is perfect coverage for any large paper space from cards to home decor to scrapbooking.

I brought in 2 shades of gray of Gray Granite and Smoky Slate were brought in to compliment the suite collection palette.

There is a lengthy description as to how I assembled this project, so hang in there with me. I also forgot to add Evening Evergreen Classic Stampin’ Pad to the Supplies, which is a suite collection color.

This project is loaded with texture, dimension, techniques, color, and designer series paper.

I love how beautiful the stamped images onto white scripty vellum turned out with the suite’s scripty DSP on the right.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I cut a piece of Basic White Thick CS to 7 x 8-1/2 and scored at 3-1/2 on the left so that it’s side-folding.

After creating the card base, I cut a piece of white scripty Vellum Layering Designs to 2 x 8-1/2 and adhered with an Adhesive Sheet to the back. I then stamped off x1 the images with Calypso Coral, Mint Macron, and Evening Evergreen directly onto the Vellum and set the ink with heat for smudge control. Using my Stamparatus, I adhered the vellum to the card base using the L of the Stamparatus to help me position the card base and manage the extreme stickiness of the Adhesive Sheet.

I then cut the Pale Papaya scripty DSP and adhered that on the right with Seal.

To make my junk knot, I wrapped a length of Smoky Slate Textured Ribbon around the card base where the DSP meets into a half knot at the top, used my tweezers as a third hand to hold the knot while I cut a length of White Frayed Ribbon to place on top of the half knot, tied the full knot, then snipped the ends with fraying the white ribbon. That was quite the run-on sentence, but this was a process.

I cut 2 of the largest square top tags from Tailor Made Tags with Artfully Composed DSP and Gray Granite CS. The leafy heart image was stamped off x1 in Bumblebee onto the Gray Granite CS. I flipped the DSP tag upside down and adhered with liquid adhesive under the Gray Granite tag. The tags were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut 2 of the stand-alone dies from Tropical Layers Dies from Calypso Coral and Evening Evergreen Artfully Composed DSP. The large fern image was stamped with Pear Pizzazz onto Basic White Regular CS and cut from its coordinating die. I arranged the foliage over the tags as desired and adhered them to the tags Stampin’ Dimensionals and a few dots of liquid adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Bumblebee CS with Versamark ink that was heat embossed with our white powder. This was adhered with double Stampin’ Dimensionals at each end of the sentiment strip and a little liquid adhesive at the top middle.

To embellish the card, I added 5 Faux Sea Glass Shapes. This fantastic product is new to our lineup.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the large fern image along the side with Mint Macaron with the sentiment in Calypso Coral.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
