Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for an alternative project created with the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit of So Cool.
I made this as a belated birthday card for a friend of mine using the Paper Pumpkin kit contents + Stampin’ Blends to color in the popsicles, that were fussy cut with our Paper Snips and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back.
I sent this card out pretty much immediately and am pretty sure the sentiment strip is 5-1/2 x 3/4″. There was leftover silver glimmer paper from the kit, so I cut and adhered this in 2 strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive behind the Night of Navy, white heat-embossed sentiment, as shown below. For the little dots, I stamped these on with Night of Navy Classic Ink.
The first thing I did was cut a piece of 4 x 4 square Basic White Thick CS. It’s very important to cut this piece square so you can rotate the card stock to get your image in the same place every single time with the Stamparatus. I stamped the popsicle image from So Cool onto the CS with Smoky Slate Classic Ink and left the image on the door/lid of the Stamparatus. Remember, I always stamp images in Smoky Slate first when I’m coloring with Stampin’ Blends. This is a guaranteed no smudge or smear technique. After I colored in the popsicle images from L to R with Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, and Highland Heather, with Soft Suede for the stick, I put the card stock back into the Stamparatus and reapplied ink with Memento Tuxedo Black to redefine the image lines.
I fussy cut the popsicles with our Paper Snips and then took a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to outline the edges of the image to cover up the ugly white side. When I adhered the images with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, I arranged the popsicles first and started to adhere to the card base from the outside in; and, since they are staggered, I had to know where to apply the Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.
I kept working my way toward the middle of the card when adhering the rest of the popsicles. The images in this kit are so incredibly easy to fussy cut with the great lines.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
